A Student's Guide to Being Happy in Argentina by Hope Lewis (September 2009); ISBN
978-0-9786854-8-5; 80 pp.; $15.95 A Student's Guide to Being Happy in Argentina
is just what it says--a guide for students to be happy while studying abroad in Argentina, written by a student who knows.
Hope Lewis, a member of the Wellesley College Class of 2010, studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for one semester during
her junior year. Like most travelers abroad, she bought a slew of traditional guidebooks. But, she found that not one really
addressed the nuts and bolts of what students really needed to know to be happy studying in and navigating Argentina. From
how to successfully handle the actual university classes to getting along with the other students and your host family to
the ever popular bars, restaurants and other places to hang out, Hope tells it like it is from the student's perspective.
There's also a chapter called, "For the Parents", written by Hope's Mom after her visit, so students can help their
parents be happy on the visits that they inevitably make to check up on their children. The first in "A Student's Guide
to Being Happy" series.
